What is this event?

This is a free event to both celebrate and officially launch the Young Carer Parent and Adult Carer Strategy 2016-2020 (the Strategy). The strategy is city wide and was created by a range of agencies and partners including carers themselves who are experts by experience.

What is the Strategy for?

Sheffield has approximately 60,000 carers. The Strategy is a plan that sets out our vision which is that Sheffield is A City where Carers are valued and have the right support to continue to care for as long as they want to. It is an important document for the city and speakers include:

  • Councillor Kate McDonald
  • Councillor Jackie Drayton
  • Director of Adult Social Care Phil Holmes

Celia Robinson, Chief Executive of Sheffield Carers Centre, will also be speaking about the new service the Centre will be running from 1 January 2017.

Come and listen to them speak about how the Strategy can change things for carers.  To register your place please go to:-
