This service is provided by Tricia Carter of Lupton Fawcett Solicitors.
We are able to offer carers a free half-hour of advice, covering some areas of personal law which relate to your caring role. For example, you may wish to discuss:
- Wills and discretionary trusts, with specialism in advising parents of those with a learning disability.
- Lasting power of attorney and court appointed Deputyship
- Deprivation of assets
- Administering estates (preparing for your own death by simplifying things, or after someone has passed away)
If, after receiving advice, you need to progress some legal work (such as making a Will) you will need to arrange for a solicitor of your choice.
To arrange an online appointment please phone our Carer Advice Line on 0114 272 8362.
