Want to find ways to change society for carers? Interested in learning how to campaign to improve things for people like you?
On Thursday 7th February 10.30 – 2.30 Sheffield Carers Centre is hosting a campaign workshop for carers, delivered by the Policy and Campaigns Team from the Carers Trust. This is a great opportunity to help carers find ways to campaign, lobby and influence to improve the situation for carers in Sheffield and across the country.Raising the Voice of Carers – Campaigning Workshop for Carers
The half day workshop will give you the skills to launch campaigns to bring about the change you want to see. The session will also set out what rights you have under the Care Act to make sure you can speak up if they are not being fulfilled.
This free Workshop will cover:
- What carers are entitled to under the Care Act
- How to plan a campaign
- How to influence local decision makers
- How to use the traditional and social media
