Sheffield Carers Centre’s safety tips
Stay in one small Christmas bubble of up to three households on Christmas Day.
Your bubble must not include households from Tier 4 areas and a maximum of three different households includes your own household. You can now only form a Christmas bubble on Christmas Day in England. At all other times please adhere to the current tier restrictions for Sheffield. If meeting with other households on Christmas Day, you can only meet at home or in outdoor public places.
Avoid travelling to other areas over the Christmas period where you can
With a new strain of Covid-19 it is important to keep Christmas celebrations local to keep residents safe.
No-one with C-19 symptoms or self-isolating should leave their house or have visitors
If you are a carer and need support please call the Council’s ‘Community Helpline’ on 0114 273 4567. Alternatively, please call your GP or the Council’s ’First Contact Service’ on 0114 273 4908 at other times. If you need medical help call the NHS on 111 or call 999 for a medical emergency.
Take care of others and remember * hands * face * space *
If you are meeting loved ones on Christmas day, keep the visit as safe as possible. Please remember to regularly wash your hands, keep rooms well ventilated by opening windows and/or doors, regularly clean surfaces and high touch areas such as your kitchen and bathrooms. Please keep an eye out for those who may be more vulnerable, either emotionally or physically, and check they are supported as much as possible
Keep everyone safe by following the national guidelines
Don’t risk catching the virus and spreading it to your friends and family.
