Over the centuries we’ve learned to cope with many viruses and health issues, through advances in medicine and treatments, plus changing our behaviours and following advice. This has included isolating and staying away from school or work along with getting tested and immunised to avoid spreading disease to others. The aim of the UK’s current mass vaccination programme is to help us all return to some kind of ‘normal’ where we can mix with friends and family and enjoy the freedoms we took for granted pre-Covid-19.
